Hello Hello, I'm slowly finding new things for display on my table when I sell at Artists and Flea. I used to have a printed sign in a picture frame but that really took up a lot of space so I found these wooden letters at Michael's!
I believe they were only $ 1.49 each. I guess I'm lucky I only need four. I was wondering if Angie wanted the letters but her name " nostalgic in brooklyn " but it's kinda long A?
Ignore the $8.99 in the picture. I had to put the letters in a diferent display for the picture.
The little cubes the letters are glued on are from a small package of 6, also from Michael's ( ~ $ 2.5 ?)
This really reminded me of how things were in college. I didn't have to buy brushes since I knew I had them.. somewhere.. but I had to get new paint. I have a lot of acrylic paints at home but wasn't sure if I had the right colors. Paints are really inexpensive ( also from Michael's ).
This time around ( as in I did not do this in college ) I also bought the Prep and the Protect paint. They were the more pricey item on my list. I think they were $3-$5 but I think they are worth the investment. The Prep made the application of the acrylic paint easy breezy ( one or two coats ).. and the Protect made it look glossy. You can buy "glossy" paint but the Protect will seal the paint. Acrylic from Michael's are waterbased so if you do not "seal" it. It might run when you spill water on it.
On top of that.. I had a 30% coupon on my purchase!! it was great... I love Michael's.
